PlowPass: Smart System will provide the public and private snow removal companies with more accurate weather information to help reduce road salt pollution while enhancing public safety, environmental health and resources. An economical all-encompassing user-friendly graphical user interface displaying accurate weather, local road conditions, locations of snowplows equipped with global positioning system (GPS) is what sets this product apart from competitors. This system will be installed within junction boxes of preexisting traffic lights, streetlights or utility poles where approximately 60% of the infrastructure necessary for implementation is already installed (meters, structures to mount sensors, and optimum locations). Highway departments, municipalities and snow removal companies will be able to manage their fleet of snow removal equipment more effectively and be better equipped with accurate real-time road conditions.
